The Clover High School boys soccer team defeated Lancaster 4-0 in Region 3-AAAA action Monday night.
The Clover School District has announced its new high school volleyball coach is Tamara Jacobus, who comes from Indian Land schools. Hannah Goolsby, special education teacher for Larne Elementary School, has been promoted to lead the high schools cheerleading and spirit teams.
Clover held off Northwestern 3-1 Thursday night in the first round of the Class AAAA softball playoffs. With stud sophomore pitchers Elizabeth Edmunds (Clover) and Kori Wancheck (Northwestern) on the bump, runs were at a premium and it was the Blue Eagles who were able to scratch out enough offense, while remaining airtight in the field.

Former Winthrop basketball coaches Larry Dixon and Randy Peele have joined Mark Byington’s staff at Georgia Southern. Peele, as the head coach, and Dixon, as one of his assistants, led Winthrop to two NCAA Tournaments before being let go. Dixon coached York Comprehensive High School this past season.
The York Comprehensive High School JV girls’ soccer team defeated Chester 2-0 at home last week. Goals by Kaitlyn Pruitt and Crystal Vang assured victory.
