    The Clover High School boys soccer team defeated Lancaster 4-0 in Region 3-AAAA action Monday night.

  • Clover High names new volleyball coach, cheer leader

    The Clover School District has announced its new high school volleyball coach is Tamara Jacobus, who comes from Indian Land schools. Hannah Goolsby, special education teacher for Larne Elementary School, has been promoted to lead the high school’s cheerleading and spirit teams.

  • Blue Eagles eke out softball playoff win over Northwestern

    Clover held off Northwestern 3-1 Thursday night in the first round of the Class AAAA softball playoffs. With stud sophomore pitchers Elizabeth Edmunds (Clover) and Kori Wancheck (Northwestern) on the bump, runs were at a premium and it was the Blue Eagles who were able to scratch out enough offense, while remaining airtight in the field.

  • Five Clover college-bound athletes honored

    Five college-bound Clover High School athletes were recognized during a Monday afternoon gathering of athletes, coaches, parents and friends in the school’s media center.

    Four more Cougar football players have received college scholarships, York Comprehensive High School officials announced Monday, bringing the number to 12 since National Signing Day in February. Also recognized for signing letters-of-intent was a girls’ soccer standout and two YCHS wrestlers

  • Georgia Southern hires former Winthrop coaches Dixon, Peele as assistants

    Former Winthrop basketball coaches Larry Dixon and Randy Peele have joined Mark Byington’s staff at Georgia Southern. Peele, as the head coach, and Dixon, as one of his assistants, led Winthrop to two NCAA Tournaments before being let go. Dixon coached York Comprehensive High School this past season.
