Cooney-Brown
Trinity United Methodist Church in York was the setting July 12, 2008, for the marriage of Jennifer Lynn Brown and Michael James Cooney, both of York.
The Rev. Gene Feagin officiated at the 6:30 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the Garden Cafe in York.
The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Libby Brown of York. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Bratton Ramsey Sr., the late Mr. Sewell Glenn Brown and the late Mrs. Ruby Brown Flemming. Jennifer graduated in 2005 from Clemson University and is a first grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary School in York.
The bridegroom is the son of Lee and Nancy Watt of York. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gordon Ramsey of Lincolnton, N.C., and Mrs. Frances Watt of Rock Hill. Michael graduated from Clemson University in 2004 and is an outside sales representative for Southern Staircase in Charlotte.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Katherine Bailes of New York, N.Y.
Bridesmaids were Amy Beth Ramsey of York, Lindsey Beard Farris, Amber Neely Graves, Ashley Brown Huffstetler, all of Rock Hill, Jennifer Nicole Strom of Sumter, Cayce Cloniger Dowling of Ridge Springs and Myra Hiott Chapman of Charlottesville, Va.
Best man was the bridegroom's father.
Groomsmen were Michael Ryan Dover, Jeffrey Scott Dover, Sean Patrick Kennedy, all of Columbia, Justin Lee Huffstetler of Rock Hill, Andrew Howell
Morton of Lancaster, Samuel Thaddeus "Trey" Strom III of Sumter and Grady Allan Ramsey of Hickory Grove.
The wedding was directed by Ms. Debbie Black of York.
After a honeymoon at Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica, the newlyweds will make their home in York.
