Mr. and Mrs. John A. Hiott of York, announce the engagement of their daughter, Myra Elizabeth Hiott, to George W. Chapman III, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Chapman Jr. of Charlotte, N.C. The wedding will be June 21, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church in York.

Myra is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. G.F. Hiott Jr. of York and Eula M. McGraw of Thomasville, Ga., and the late Royal A. McGraw Jr. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Duke University in 2005 and will graduate from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education with a Master of Divinity in May. She plans to enter law school this fall.

George is the grandson of Isabel Wilkinson McManus of Matthews, N.C., and the late George McManus and the late George and Ruth Cathey Chapman. George earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and History from North Carolina State University in 1995, a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design in 1998, and a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education in 2006. He is the director of campus ministries at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church for students at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va.
