Dixons happy together for 50 years

Frank and Ann Dixon of Clover celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 22, 2008, with a renewal of vows ceremony and reception at Clover Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, hosted by Sallie Enloe Circle and friends of the couple, Manning and Madge Biggers. A bachelorette party was held at Larne Building in Clover on Nov. 21.

They have three children, Frank Dixon III, Dean Dixon and wife Angie and Rena Hodges and husband Mike. They also have four grandchildren, Hunter Dixon, Tyler Dixon, Bruce Hodges and Anna Hodges and one godchild, Jacob Brumble.

The Clover couple were married Nov. 18, 1958, at First Presbyterian Church in York.

Frank retired from Hormel Corporation as plant engineer in 1990 and in 2002 from Verna & Associates as vice president. He has served as an Elder and tape ministry organizer for Clover ARP Church.

Ann retired from North Hand Protection in Clover with 27 years of service. She served as president of Sunday school class, chairman of Sallie Enloe Circle and co-chair of Bereavement Committee at Clover ARP Church. Ann is also vice queen mother of The Razzle Dazzle Dames Red Hat Society.
