Elizabeth Hall Bloomfield of Lexington, Ken., and Joshua Grant Penrod of Clover, are to be married Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Lexington.

The future bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Bloomfield of Lexington, graduated in 2002 from the University of Kentucky and received a master's degree from Touro College. Miss Bloomfield is a teacher with the Garden House School of New York.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge E. Penrod of Clover, the bridegroom-to-be is a 2000 graduate of the University of South Carolina. Mr. Penrod is a lead news designer at the New York Times.
