Clover band fish fry

CLOVER --

The Indoor Drum line of Clover High School is having a Fish and Chicken Fry 1 – 5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23 in the Piggly-Wiggly parking lot in downtown Clover on Main Street. Tickets are $8 and come with a choice of fish or chicken strips or a combination plate. French fries, hushpuppies and coleslaw are included. Plates are take-out only. Graham's Fish Fry of Belmont, N.C. is providing the food.

The Indoor Drum line is an ensemble of about 30 students playing percussion instruments performing a program – similar to marching band, only on a smaller scale inside gymnasiums. In 2009, the CHS Indoor Drum Line won the S.C. State Championship. As a result, it has been invited to the national competition this April in Dayton, Ohio. This Fish Fry Fundraiser is to help defray the cost of the trip and allow these students to represent Clover HIgh School on a national stage.
