Hawkins, Baker to wed
Ms. Mary Jane Blankenship of York and Dr. and Mrs. Paul Randall Hawkins of Claxton, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Bradlee Hawkins, to Capt. Christopher Ryan Baker. He is the son of Dr. Dale and Susan Batten of DeLand, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. John A. Baker III of Houston, Texas.
Miss Hawkins is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Blankenship of Lancaster and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hawkins of Rock Hill.
Capt. Baker is the grandson of Lt. (Ret) and Mrs. Richard K. Hopkins of Pierson, Fla., and the late Mr. John A. Baker Jr. and Mrs. Mary O. Reese of Orlando, Fla.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Clemson University and is employed as a wellness specialist in Beaufort. The future groom graduated from University of North Florida and is an F-18 Hornet fighter pilot with the U.S. Marine Corps, presently stationed in Beaufort.
An April 2013 wedding is planned in Beaufort.
