YORK --
A York Walmart employee told police he was nearly run over by a group of suspected shoplifters in the stores parking lot around 1:30 a.m. Nov. 1, according to a York police report.
The man, a 27-year-old store employee, told police he followed a group of people into the parking lot to try and get a license plate number on their vehicle because they were suspected shoplifters.
While following them outside, he told police the suspects got into two different cars and tried to run him over.
One car tried to back over him, while the other attempted to strike him head on, he told police.
The cars were described as a blue Ford Crown Victoria and a silver Ford Crown Victoria, according to police. The identities of the driver and passengers are unknown.
