A York mans heating and air conditioner unit was stolen in the middle of the night, according to a York Police report.
The man, a tenant at a home on Taylor Street in York, reported to his landlord that the unit was missing the morning of Dec. 13.
Police were called to the home. The man told officers the heat was running when he went to bed the night before.
He awoke in the middle of the night and was cold, he said, and tried to adjust the thermostat but the heat did not turn on.
The next morning the house was even colder. He walked outside and discovered the unit had been removed from the house, according to the report. Police value the missing unit at $4,000.
It has not been located and no suspects have been named.
