Abiding Presence has train display
YORK The Rev. Charles Aurand of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church in York will have his elaborate train and village collection on display from 4 to 8 p.m. December 25 to 30 in the church fellowship hall.
Admission is a canned or boxed food item to donate to the food pantries in York. Abiding Presence Lutheran Church is located at 323 N. Congress St. in York. The number is (803)684-2793.
Aurand has a very elaborate train collection with villages and other items that he has collected over many years. He is originally from West Virginia and has pastored the church for the past five years.
First Presbyterian plans cantata
YORK First Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Liberty St., York, will have a Christmas Cantata during the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Dec. 23.
The church office is open until noon on Monday, Dec. 24.
Christmas Eve service will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24.
Youth will attend a Winter Jam on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.
Ordination and Installation of new church officers will be held during worship on Sunday January 6, 2013.
First Presbyterian hosts worship
The church has Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship in the Family Life Center at 11 a.m. each Sunday.
Clover church posts holiday events
CLOVER Clover Presbyterian Church, 202 Kings Mountain St., will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Churches plan Dec. 24 meal
ROCK HILL The Hunger Outreach Program will host a Christmas dinner and program from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 24 at Flint Hill Baptist Church, Flint Hill Street, Rock Hill. Dinner includes turkey, vegetables, dessert, fruit, bread and beverages.
Those attending will be given gifts. Entertainment is from 11 a.m. to noon. The event is ponsored by Cornerstone, St. John and Woodland United Methodist, Eastview, Flint Hill and Second Baptist, Epiphany and Grace Lutheran and Westminster and First Presbyterian churches.
Scherer hosts moms group
LAKE WYLIE Scherer Presbyterian Church, 4800 Charlotte Hwy., hosts REST4Moms from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of the month.
Mothers begin the morning with coffee, tea and goodies, followed by topics of interest, crafts, conversation and discussion. Children are treated to crafts, snacks and playtime. Annual cost is $10.

Bible studies held Wednesday
LAKE WYLIE Community Women’s and Grades 1-3 Bible studies are held from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays at River Hills Community Church to share the books of Amos and Isaiah concerning prophecies of Jesus Christ.
CBS is an international Bible study that is nondenominational and unaffiliated with any church, open to all women of all faiths and knowledge levels. The study includes morning devotional, small group discussion of home-study questions and a large group review.
