A Tega Cay woman shopping with two children was arrested on suspicions that she shoplifted jewelry and clothing from the York Wal-Mart, according to a York Police report.
The woman, 35-year-old Nicole Marie Stanziole, was charged with shoplifting Jan. 12. A Wal-Mart official detained her and called police to report a suspicion of shoplifting.
The store official told police the suspect was seen taking jewelry and clothing, hiding them, and attempting to leave the store, the report states. The woman told police she forgot to pay for the items, the report states.
Police arrested the woman and took her and her children to the police station. The woman was booked and issued a summons for court, then released. Her children were returned to her custody at that time.
