The Water Coolers — a New York-based music and comedy group that satirically celebrates the things we share around the water cooler — will perform this weekend in Clover.
The show will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Clover School District Auditorium. Tickets are $15 each.
The Water Coolers, conceived by consultant and former conference planner Sally Allen, with actor/comedy writer Thomas Michael Allen, leaped to the Off-Broadway stage in 2002.
The group aims to make its audience laugh out loud at the things we face just making it through the week, from pretending you understand what the IT guy is saying — The IT Cowboy — to the perils of air travel — Delay and What Are They Doing In First Class?
“The Water Coolers’ take on work and life is needed now more than ever,” said David Yandle, program director for the Clover School District Auditorium. “The performances are top notch and their observations are on the money. We’re excited about bringing them to Clover.”
The show and the team are led by actor and comedy writer Thomas Michael Allen, a creator of the hit “Tony n' Tina's Wedding.” Performers’ professional credits include shows such as “Les Miserables,” “Grease,” “Nine,” “Rent,” “Mamma Mia,” “Wicked” and more.
