- jmarks@lakewyliepilot.com

LAKE WYLIE --

LaShana Wade’s third-graders at Crowders Creek Elementary School participated in a variety of activities Friday in celebration of Black History Month, ending with a “Dream Team” performance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

The class also performed in a Black History Wax Museum project, dressing as well-known doctors, boxers, boatmakers, ballplayers, ministers and astronauts. The class closed the month by reciting the famous speech. Students also wrote reports on their subjects and worked them into art lessons.
