Former Gamecocks star and NFL player Sheldon Brown at York fundraiser Thursday

YORK -- 

Former USC Gamecocks star and current Cleveland Browns football player Sheldon Brown, a native of Chester County, will sign autographs Thursday at Lowe’s in York as part of a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Brown is scheduled to be at the store starting at 10 a.m., Lowe’s officials said. There will be a raffle for a Gamecocks #24 jersey that Brown wore at the school.

The event, called a “lockdown,” features people raising money to get out on bail from a “jail” set up at the store. All proceeds go to the charity. The store is located at 1010 Liberty St., York.
