Police found more than 14,000 prescription pills and $14,000 in cash Thursday at a Clover couple’s home.

The York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Gregory Shane King, 44, and Jacqueline Gwen Singh, 47, after finding 14,266 prescription pills in their home on Beersheba Road, according to commander Marvin Brown.

During a traffic stop Thursday in York, officers found King with 78.5 Alprazolam pills that police say he intended to distribute, Brown said.

King also had about two grams of marijuana, according to Brown.

After the traffic stop, police searched King and Singh’s home and found $14,000 and four rifles, Brown said.

King has a prior violent felony conviction in South Carolina and is charged with possession of firearm or ammunition by a person convicted of a violent crime.

Most of the pills that police found in the home were Alprazolam, which is used to treat anxiety, panic disorders and insomnia.

Officers also found Oxycodone, Phentermine, Diazepam and Clonazepam, Brown said.

Oxycodone is prescribed to treat pain. Phentermine is a weight loss drug. Diazepam and Clonazepam are prescribed to treat anxiety and seizures.

King and Singh are each charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office Moss Justice Detention Center website.

Crack arrest near park

Also Thursday, the drug enforcement unit arrested two Rock Hill men accused of trafficking crack near a park.

Investigators searched a home on Glenn Street after undercover police purchased crack from Antonio Ross, 27, and Dominique Agurs, 26, Brown said.

During the police search, officers confiscated about $5,400 worth of crack cocaine, $530 in cash, ammunition and a small amount of marijuana, Brown said.

Ross and Agurs are being held at the Moss Justice Detention Center awaiting bond, according to the detention center’s website.
