Hillcrest Baptist plans single mom event, concert

Hillcrest Baptist Church in York, on S.C. 49 toward Sharon, will have a Mothers Matter single moms event from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20.

Admission is free. Guest speakers will be Ainslee House Moss, founder of Tender Hearts Ministries in York, and York Police Officer Timothy Moss.

The event will include lunch, music, a gift, a free clothing closet for the family and child care. Those who plan to attend are asked to call the church at 803-684-9409 by April 13.

The church also will host a spring choir concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Admission is free.

Kings Mountain UMC plans truck, bike show

Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church, 1130 Philbeck Road, York, will present a car, truck and bike show from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20. There are no entry fees.

Biscuits, hot dogs and hamburgers will be sold. There will be games and live music by the New Restoration and a silent auction. Merchandise and craft vendors are welcome. All proceeds go to church mission projects.

3 Days Leave performing April 12

Grace Ministries, 1511 Mount Holly Road, hosts 3 Days Leave perform “The Sound of Redemption” at 7 p.m. April 12.

Good Samaritan plans yard sale

The Good Samaritan United Methodist Women will have a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at the church, at the corner of S.C. 49 and S.C. 274 in Lake Wylie, across from Food Lion. Hot dogs and baked goods will be available.

Adnah church plans gospel sing

A spring gospel sing, featuring the Central Baptist Bluegrass Singers, will be 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Adnah United Methodist Church, 1 Adnah Drive, Rock Hill.

The concert also will include a homemade hamburger dinner.

Admission cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

Singles groups meeting

New River Community Church is holding two singles groups, both meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesdays.

• FUSION is for anyone out of high school to age 24. The group meets at a member home in York. Singles can build friendships through studying God’s word together, serving in the community, having fun, and discussing challenges of life.

• Singles Gatherings is for adults ages 25 and older. The group meets at the church, 133 Carroll Cove Road. Connection and Bible study are the primary focuses. Child care is provided for children 10 and younger.

Bible studies held Wednesday

Community Women’s and Grades one to three Bible studies are held from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays at River Hills Community Church to share the books of Amos and Isaiah concerning prophecies of Jesus.

CBS is an international Bible study that is nondenominational and unaffiliated with any church, open to all women of all faiths and knowledge levels.

A nursery and preschool class also are available. Grades 1-3 have their own core group and lecture studying Amos and Isaiah.
