YORK — A York man told police that three people attacked him last week, holding him down by his pants, hitting him “below the belt” and beating him in the head.
At about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, police were sent to West Jefferson Street after complaints about an assault, according to a York police report. When they arrived, they spoke with the victim, 19, who said he was in an apartment with his girlfriend when two men and one woman attacked him.
He said the woman held him down by his pants, while the two men hit him, the report states. The victim said he swung back in self-defense, but he was struck “below the belt” and in the back of his head.
He dialed 911, the report states, but lost his $400 phone during the scuffle. Police say he had several cuts on the top of his head.
Warrants have been prepared for second-degree assault and battery by a mob. Court records indicate that none of the three has been charged.
