New roadside market sprouts

From staff reportsMay 22, 2013

— The Market at Inman Farms, a new roadside market on S.C. 5 west of York, across from Cotton Belt Elementary School, opened Saturday, offering locally-made arts and crafts, fresh herbs, strawberries and other items.

The market — which will also feature a variety of local produce sold by growers as it becomes available — will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. In addition, the market will also be available to vendors from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The market is next to the main homestead at Inman Farms, which the Roe Inman family plans to open as an agri-tourism attraction June 8 and 9, during the York County Ag + Art Tour. The opening day will feature tours, children’s activities, music and more.
