Clover Wesleyan plans hot dog sale

The men’s group at Clover Wesleyan Church, at South Main and Parkview streets in Clover, will sell hot dogs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15. Call 803-222-7069 for more information or to place an order.

New Beginnings seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for God’s Kitchen, a ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church that delivers meals to at least 120 shut-ins each day.

Volunteers also are being sought for the Lighthouse Thrift Store, which helps to provide housing for the homeless. For details, contact the Rev. Ricou Williams at the church, 706 Old N. Main St., Clover, or call 980-322-4161.

Divine Saviour plans rummage sale

Divine Saviour Catholic Church on Herndon Avenue in York will host its 13th annual indoor rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22.

The event will include free coffee; donuts will be for sale. Hot dogs, chips and drinks are $1 each. Proceeds will help fund a contingent of teens going to World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro next month.

Donated items may be dropped off at the church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. June 17 to 20. Call 684-3431 with any questions.

The day will end with a 7 p.m. concert on June 22 at the church.

It will feature a wide variety of music, including local vocalists, a piano soloist, brass quintet, Southern gospel and more.

A $10 donation will be accepted at the door for World Youth Day.

Community Cafe serving lunch

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tirzah church starts kids’ fishing club

Tirzah ARP Church, Mount Gallant Road, York, has started a kids’ fishing club that meets on the third Saturday of each month. Age divisions are younger than 6 and 7-11. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fish are measured and prizes awarded. The group is open to the community.
