CLOVER - A Clover man was arrested late Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana after littering warrants had been issued for his arrest for allegedly throwing trash in the median of the main road in Clover.
James Wesley Kinley III, 24, was seen littering on U.S. 321 - Main Street - Thursday by a Town of Clover waste employee who just happened to be a relative of Kinley, according to the Clover Police Department report of the incident. Kinsley made gestures to the employee top pick up the trash then drove off, the report states.
Late Friday, according to a second police report, police pulled over Kinsley and charged with the outstanding littering warrant. When inventorying the vehicle, police found a “small nugget” of leafy green substance believed to be marijuana on the floorboards, the report states.
Kinsley was released Saturday on a personal recognizance bond, according to York County jail officials.
