Bethany ARP plans homecoming

Bethany ARP Church will hold its annual homecoming service and covered-dish lunch Sunday, July 14. The church welcomes visitors, especially those with former ties to the congregation.

100 Women in White program planned

The Clover AME Zion Church on Kings Mountain Highway, Clover, will have its 100 Women in White program at 3 p.m. July 14.

Men’s Day planned at Greater Unity

Greater Unity AME Zion Church, S.C. 97, Sharon, will have a Men’s Day program on July 14.

Tirzah Presbyterian plans Bible school

Tirzah Presbyterian Church, Tirzah Road, York, will have vacation Bible school Camp-in-a-Van with Bethelwoods Camp and Conference Center, with the theme Faith Alive.

The program will be at 5:30 p.m. July 14 to 18.

Community garden planned

Mount Zion plans concert

Mount Zion Baptist Church, Columbia Road, Blackstock, will have a combined choir concert at 3 p.m. July 14. Guest choirs include the St. Peter, Cedar Grove and Great Falls Youth Community Choir. For information, call 803-209-8400.

First Presbyterian plans Bible school

First Presbyterian Church, West Liberty Street, York, will have vacation Bible school July 14 to 19 with Trinity United Methodist Church. Families can register at the church office.

New Beginnings seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for God’s Kitchen, a ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church that delivers meals to at least 120 shut-ins each day.

Volunteers also are being sought for the Lighthouse Thrift Store, which helps to provide housing for the homeless. Volunteers will help with daily operations including delivery, pickup and sorting donations. For details, contact the Rev. Ricou Williams at the church, 706 Old N. Community Cafe serving lunch

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Tirzah church starts kids’ fishing club

Tirzah ARP Church, Mount Gallant Road, York, has started a kids’ fishing club that meets on the third Saturday of each month. Age divisions are younger than 6 and 7-11. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fish are measured and prizes awarded. The group is open to the community.
