The York County Sheriff’s Office says their plea to the public earlier this month to help arrest a burglary suspect helped make an arrest.

Authorities have charged Wesley Kenneth Morgan, 22, of Clover, with second degree burglary and attempt to break in and enter a vehicle near the Xpress Lube store on Filbert Highway in York on June 30, according to a sheriff’s office report.

Morgan was arrested on July 17 after deputies released surveillance video showing a man wearing a ball cap, t-shirt and plaid shorts trying to enter a tractor trailer parked in the store’s parking lot around 4:15 a.m., said Trent Faris, sheriff’s office spokesman.

Deputies said earlier this month that the burglary suspect did not appear to take anything from the business or the trailer.

Morgan has since been released from the Moss Justice Detention Center, according to the sheriff’s office website.
