— The final push is on to help put needed school supplies in the hands of York and Clover students when the school bell rings Aug. 21.

All four York County school districts have been holding their annual drives for school supplies. The drives are a partnership between the four school districts, The Herald and its sister community newspapers: Enquirer-Herald, Lake Wylie Pilot and Fort Mill Times.

Donations will be collected through Friday.

Supplies for students in the Clover school district will be distributed from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Clover School District Resource Center, 300 Clinton Ave.

The York school district distributes donated school supplies to each of its schools, where they are distributed to students by the school staff.

The York and Clover Enquirer-Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point.
