August 13, 2013

— Two teenagers tried to steal cellphones from Walmart before they were apprehended by a store manager, according to a York Police report.

The teens, ages 15 and 16, went into the York Walmart last week and attempted to steal three pre-paid cellphones, the report states.

A store official said he witnessed the teens take the phones and walk past cashier stations and out the door. They were then detained and police were called.

Police charged the teens with shoplifting. They were turned over to their parents. The suspects’ identities were not disclosed because they are juveniles.
