YCHS cheerleader clinic set for Sept. 21

The York Comprehensive High School varsity cheerleaders will host a youth cheerleader clinic Sept. 21 at the high school.

The clinic is for kindergarteners to sixth graders; application forms are available at York schools.

Clinic participants will cheer with varsity cheerleaders at the Cougar football team’s home game against Keenan Sept. 20, part of the York Parks and Recreation Department’s Cheerleader Night at the YCHS stadium.

New website available for Cougar supporters

A new York Comprehensive High School athletic website is available to supporters of every sport at YCHS. The expanded Web page has more sports-related information than the previous YCHS website.

Those interested can access a wide range of sports by going to www.yorkathletics.org, and clicking on files and links under the home page.

Visitors can sign up to receive email alerts and text alerts that include game cancellations. Those who want to use the website will receive a confirmation email. Follow the directions to finalize the registration.

If you select text alerts, you will immediately receive a confirmation text that includes a code that needs to be typed into the box appearing after clicking “submit” for your registration.

In addition to the email alerts link, the home page includes other links pertaining to YCHS athletics.
