York police: Man beat niece, stole her liquor

— A York man is accused of beating his niece and stealing her bottle of liquor, according to a York Police report.

The victim, a 25-year-old York woman, told police that around 4 a.m. Aug. 28 her uncle walked up to her while they were drinking at a friend’s house. He took her bottle of liquor and began to walk away with it, the report states.

When the woman confronted her uncle and tried to take back the alcohol, he pushed her away and began to “beat her like a man,” the woman told police.

The victim had injuries to her head and legs, the report states. Police are seeking warrants for an arrest.
