St. Paul UMC plans pancake supper

St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1550 St. Paul Church Road, Clover, will have a United Methodist Men’s pancake supper from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Oct. 19 at the church.

The event will include pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs. Donations will be accepted for the UMM. For details, call 803-222-7426

Adnah UMC to hold bazaar

Adnah United Methodist Church, 1618 Adnah Church Road, Rock Hill, will host a church bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at the family life center.

The event will include more than 30 vendors, crafts and more, a huge bake sale and a silent auction and book signing. Breakfast will be sold from 8 to 10 a.m. and a hot dog lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fall bazaar set at Mount Vernon UMC

Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 2160 Smithford Road, Hickory Grove, will host a fall bazaar Saturday, Oct. 26 in the church fellowship center.

A buffet breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. and a lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers and homemade chicken stew will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bazaar shopping will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The bazaar will feature a country store of homemade baked goods, frozen casseroles and canned goods. There will be an assortment of handmade crafts, seasonal decorations, baby gifts and more.

Bethel Baptist to hold revival

Bethel Baptist Church, 6031 Charlotte Hwy., York, will have revival services beginning 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.

The revival will continue at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 to 16.

Get some breakfast at Great Joy

Great Joy Baptist Church, U.S. 321, McConnells, will have its annual breakfast fundraiser from 6:30 to10:30 a.m. Oct. 12.

Mount Harmony plans gospel event

Mount Harmony United Methodist Church, Ridge Road, Clover, will have a gospel choir anniversary Joy Night at 6 p.m. Oct. 12. Fish and hot dog plates will be for sale.

Craft and food bazaar Nov. 2

Tirzah Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6161 Mount Gallant Road, will host the Tirzah Fest Craft and Food Bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2.

There will be crafts and baskets for Christmas giving for sale along with canned vegetables, frozen home-cooked casserole meals, fresh baked cakes, cookies and candies and vendors. Sausage biscuits with juice and coffee will be for sale beginning at 8 a.m., and Thanksgiving dinner with the trimmings at noon, with take-out starting at 10 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Tirzah Women’s Missions Fund. Community invited to Table Talk

River Hills Community Church is starting Table Talk, a new weekly experience for the whole family.

The program on Wednesdays through Oct. 23 includes gathering for dinner, fellowship, study and conversation about key stories of the Bible. The stories are basic for new Christians, yet have unexpected flair to engage the seasoned Bible reader. Stories include Creation, The Fall, The Flood, Father Abraham, Ten Words, and The Great Commandment.

Sessions include a meal, the telling of the story, Table Talk questions and discussion, and activities for all ages.

Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. in the gym of the Church Life Center with Table Talk to follow. To register, call 803-831-1615.

Trinity UMC to hold CROP walk

Trinity United Methodist Church in York will host the annual western York County CROP walk for hunger relief beginning at 3 p.m. Oct.13.

All Saints kicks off building campaign

All Saints Catholic Church, 530 S.C. 274, is conducting its “All Saints Alive” campaign to raise money to build a Parish Life Center.

A minimum goal of $1.2 million and challenge goal of $1.8 million have been set.

The celebration culminates during Commitment Weekend, Nov. 16-17.

Walsh & Associates, a church fundraising consulting firm based in Minnesota, is providing assistance.

Good Sam UMC adds service

Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5220 Crowders Cove Lane, Lake Wylie, will offer a new modern worship service 10:30 a.m. Sundays. The new service will follow a 9 a.m. service that will be the usual blended service of traditional and contemporary elements.

First Presbyterian plans Bible studies

First Presbyterian Church will host these Bible study opportunities:

• Lunchtime Bible study, BYOS (Bring Your Own Sandwich), is noon to 1 p.m. Wednesdays.

A women’s Bible study is 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays. The study will be Beth Moore’s “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place,” on the Old Testament tabernacle. Cost of the study book is $16.

• A men’s Bible study meets 7:15 a.m. Tuesdays. The current study is on the book of Genesis. There is no cost.

All Bible studies are open to the community.

Community Bible Study women’s class

The Community Bible Study will offer a women’s day class with a baby, children and teen program 9:15 a.m. Wednesdays at River Hills Community Church on S.C. 49 in Lake Wylie.

CBS is an unaffiliated, international Bible study, where all denominations and ages are welcome. This year’s 30-week study of “The Gospel of John” is a warm, intimate study of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Preschool will have a three-year journey through the Bible, while children in first to 12th grades study John in their own core groups.

New Beginnings seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for God’s Kitchen, a ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church that delivers meals to at least 120 shut-ins each day.

Volunteers also are being sought for the Lighthouse Thrift Store, which helps provide housing for the homeless.

Volunteers will help with daily operations including delivery, pickup and sorting donations.

Community Cafe serving lunch

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
