Pancake supper set at St. Paul

St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1550 St. Paul Church Road, Clover, will have a United Methodist Men’s pancake supper from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Oct. 19 at the church.

The event will include pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs. Donations will be accepted for the UMM. For details, call 803-222-7426.

Wesley UMC plans Oct. 19 clothing giveaway

The Women of Wesley United Methodist Church, 110 W. Jefferson St., York, will have their annual clothing give away from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. It will include clothing and shoes for children, women and men.

Gold Hill Baptist choir to mark anniversary

The male choir of Gold Hill Baptist Church, S.C. 49, York, will celebrate its anniversary at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. The event is open to the public.

Oakdale Presbyterian to hold harvest sale

Oakdale Presbyterian Church, 12585 W. S.C. 55, Clover, will hold its annual harvest sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.

Hash plates and hamburgers will be available. A large assortment of cakes and pies will be for sale. Hash may also be purchased in bulk. Proceeds will go to the church building fund.

Churches present community trunk, treat

A community wide Trunk or Treat will be presented Thursday, Oct. 31 by First Baptist and First Presbyterian churches in York.

A hot dog supper will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monetary contributions can be given to Samaritan’s Purse or a small donation can be made for the shoe boxes.

From 7 to 8 p.m., trunks will be in the parking lots of both churches. First Baptist is at 102 S. Congress St., and First Presbyterian is at 10 W. Liberty St.

Beth Shiloh to host fall festival

The membership committee of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church will host the annual fall festival from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 at the church, 1184 N. Shiloh Road, York.

Hot dogs, drinks, bingo, cake walks, live music and games will be part of the festivities. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the Christian Education Committee will sponsor a Trunk-or-Treat.

Adnah UMC to hold bazaar

Adnah United Methodist Church, 1618 Adnah Church Road, Rock Hill, will host a church bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at the family life center.

The event will include more than 30 vendors, crafts and more, a huge bake sale and a silent auction and book signing. Breakfast will be sold from 8 to 10 a.m. and a hot dog lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fall bazaar set at Mount Vernon UMC

Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 2160 Smithford Road, Hickory Grove, will host a fall bazaar Saturday, Oct. 26 in the church fellowship center.

A buffet breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. and a lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers and homemade chicken stew will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bazaar shopping will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The bazaar will feature a country store of homemade baked goods, frozen casseroles and canned goods. There will be an assortment of handmade crafts, seasonal decorations, baby gifts and more.

Craft and food bazaar Nov. 2

Tirzah Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6161 Mount Gallant Road, will host the Tirzah Fest Craft and Food Bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2.

There will be crafts and baskets for Christmas giving for sale along with canned vegetables, frozen home-cooked casserole meals, fresh baked cakes, cookies and candies and vendors. Sausage biscuits with juice and coffee will be for sale beginning at 8 a.m., and Thanksgiving dinner with the trimmings at noon, with take-out starting at 10 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Tirzah Women’s Missions Fund. All Saints kicks off building campaign

All Saints Catholic Church, 530 S.C. 274, is conducting its “All Saints Alive” campaign to raise money to build a Parish Life Center.

A minimum goal of $1.2 million and challenge goal of $1.8 million have been set.

The celebration culminates during Commitment Weekend, Nov. 16-17.

Good Sam UMC adds service

Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5220 Crowders Cove Lane, Lake Wylie, will offer a new modern worship service 10:30 a.m. Sundays. The new service will follow a 9 a.m. service that will be the usual blended service of traditional and contemporary elements.

First Presbyterian plans Bible studies

First Presbyterian Church will host these Bible study opportunities:

• Lunchtime Bible study, BYOS (Bring Your Own Sandwich), is noon to 1 p.m. Wednesdays.

• A women’s Bible study is 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays. The study will be Beth Moore’s “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place,” on the Old Testament tabernacle. Cost of the study book is $16.

• A men’s Bible study meets 7:15 a.m. Tuesdays. The current study is on the book of Genesis. There is no cost.

All Bible studies are open to the community.

Community Bible Study women’s class

The Community Bible Study will offer a women’s day class with a baby, children and teen program 9:15 a.m. Wednesdays at River Hills Community Church on S.C. 49 in Lake Wylie.

CBS is an unaffiliated, international Bible study, where all denominations and ages are welcome. This year’s 30-week study of “The Gospel of John” is a warm, intimate study of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Preschool will have a three-year journey through the Bible, while children in first to 12th grades study John in their own core groups.

New Beginnings seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for God’s Kitchen, a ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church that delivers meals to at least 120 shut-ins each day.

Volunteers also are being sought for the Lighthouse Thrift Store, which helps provide housing for the homeless.

Volunteers will help with daily operations including delivery, pickup and sorting donations.

Community Cafe serving lunch

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
