Girl, 15, reports sexual assault by man she met on Facebook

October 22, 2013

— A 15-year-old girl has reported that she was sexually assaulted by a 21-year-old man she met on Facebook. Police are investigating.

The report states a mother came to police around 2 a.m. Oct. 19 to report that her daughter had been contacting men through Facebook.

The woman said she found sexually explicit photos and messages on her daughter's phone, and that the girl had admitted to having sex with a 21-year-old man.

Police investigators interviewed the girl. She told police that the suspect came to her home a week prior, but she asked him to leave because she knew her mother would not approve, the reports states.

The man and the teenager walked to a private area where they couldn’t be seen to hug goodbye, the teen told police.

At that point, the suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the girl, even as she asked him to stop, the report states. The girl did not report the incident to her parents.
