York Middle eight-grade football team defeats Sullivan

October 29, 2013 

— The York Middle School eighth grade football team defeated Sullivan 26-12.

“The Cougars were down 12-8 at the half and played hard in the second half for our fifth win of the season,” said head coach Jerry Kemp.

In the second half, YMS scored on a 50-yard pass and a short run. The Cougar defense scored on a 45-yard fumble return.

“We shut Sullivan out in the second half and are very proud of the effort,” Kemp said.

The Cougars are 5-2 and 3-2 in the conference.
