— A SWAT team was called to a York home Thursday night after a man threatened to “shoot it out” with sheriff’s deputies.

Two family members called officers after they say Ronald Klutz, 53, assaulted them.

Klutz came to his daughter’s home and and kicked the front door, trying to get in, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report. When his daughter, 21, opened the door, Klutz pushed his way inside and began cursing and yelling, according to the report.

His daughter’s grandmother, 61, tried to get in between Klutz and his daughter. Klutz lifted a fist to punch the grandmother, but did not, then grabbed the daughter by the throat before leaving.

When deputies arrived at his residence on Turkey Creek Ridge, Klutz threatened to shoot them, the report states. So a SWAT team was called.

He was taken into custody by the SWAT team. A revolver was found in the house.

Klutz was charged with burglary and two counts of assault. He is currently in custody at the York County Detention Center. Bond had not been set as of late Friday afternoon.
