Clover High School wins honor for softball field

— Clover High School has been selected for the 2013 South Carolina Sports Turf Managers Association Softball Field of the Year.

Field caretakers include Lee Clinton, Will Rogers, Tony McCarter, Frank Falls and softball coaches Shea Hall, Doug Collins and Allison Knapp.

Representatives from Clover High School have been invited to the association’s annual business meeting Dec. 10 in Columbia to accept the award.

The award includes funding for one S.C. chapter registration for 2014, a plaque and clothing to honor the staff who care for the field. Clover High’s principal is Mark Hopkins.
