Area airmen finish basic training

Air Force Airmen 1st Class Jacob G. Elmiger, Javier L. Boswell and Casey L. Reavis all graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Elmiger is the son of George Elmiger of Lake Wylie. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2012 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tenn.

Boswell is the son of Lynn and Eduardo Boswell of Homosassa, Fla. He is a 2010 graduate of Clover High School.

Reavis is the son of Andrew Reavis of Lake Wylie and the grandson of Martha McWatters of Charlotte. He is also a 2012 graduate of Clover High School.
