Divine Saviour plans lunch, concert

Divine Saviour Catholic Church, Herndon Avenue, York, will have a free community lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20.

A Christmas concert will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, followed by a reception. Tickets are $5 and admission is free for ages 10 and younger.

First UMC plans ‘Heart of Christmas’

The First United Methodist Church choir on Bethel Street in Clover will join Clover Presbyterian Church to present “The Heart of Christmas” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22 at First UMC.

Ministry to present Christmas pageant

Redeemed Christian Ministries on Blackburn Street in York will host a Christmas pageant, “Miracle Under a Blazing Star,” at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, presented by Divine Revelation Ministries in York.

Weeping Mary plans Christmas gala

Weeping Mary Baptist Church, U.S. 321 North, Bowling Green, will have a Candy Cane Christmas Gala at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 with food, games and entertainment. Dress is semi-formal.

Christmas worship will be 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22.

River Hills church posts Christmas services

River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, offers three opportunities for worship on Christmas Eve.

The 4 p.m. service is for families with children and tells the story of Jesus’ birth through a traditional nativity pageant.

The 7:30 and 11 p.m. services will offer the singing of favorite carols, along with the celebration of Holy Communion and the traditional lighting of candles closing with “Silent Night.”

New Beginnings seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for God’s Kitchen, a ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church that delivers meals to at least 120 shut-ins each day.

Volunteers are also being sought for the Lighthouse Thrift Store, which helps provide housing for the homeless.

Volunteers will help with daily operations including delivery, pickup and sorting donations.

Community Cafe serving lunch

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
