2 Clover residents get state-level Jaycees awards

— Clover High School teacher Frank Falls Clover Middle School student Markus Nastase have been awarded the South Carolina Outstanding Young Americans award during a conference of the South Carolina Jaycees in Beaufort.

The awards were submitted by the Clover Jaycees and presented by the state organization. Falls was honored under the category of Contribution to Children for his work with Moped to Memphis.

Falls rides a moped each year to St. Jude hospital in Memphis, Tenn., to deliver a check to the hospital. The money is raised all year in the Clover community.

Nastase was honored in the category of Outstanding Youth younger than 16. He was recently selected to attend the 2013 Junior National Young Leaders Conference held in Washington, D.C.
