Authorities are looking for a Clover man, 46, who the York County Sheriff's Office says is accused of beating up his brother-in-law on Christmas Eve during a family gathering.
Deputies were called to a home on Barrett Road in Clover on Tuesday night around 6 p.m. after the man allegedly punched his 38-year-old relative in the back of the head for "no apparent reason," according to a sheriff's office report.
After being hit, the man fell to the ground and suffered a "knot" on his head along with a bloody nose and mouth, the report states.
While his brother-in-law was on the ground, the man punched him in the face, according to witness testimony in the report.
The man's father, 65, tried to break up the tussle but his son shoved him to the ground, injuring his left arm, according to the report.
Both the man's father and his brother-in-law told deputies that they want to press charges against the man for assault and battery. By the time authorities arrived on scene on Tuesday, the man accused of fighting had left the home.
The sheriff's office has issued warrants for the man's arrest, the report states.
