Police: York man tries to take back tires bought for girlfriend

January 14, 2014

— A York man and his mother were arrested early Monday after police caught them trying to take tires off the man’s girlfriend’s car, according to a York Police report.

The man, 29-year-old Dustin Shad Holder of York, attempted to remove the tires from his girlfriend’s Honda Accord around 12:45 a.m. on Monday.

He and his 54-year-old mother were seen with a jack trying to take the tires off the parked car.

When police arrived, the man explained that he bought the tires for his girlfriend, and following an argument between them, he wanted to take them back.

Police told the suspects the tires were a civil matter. The two were arrested and charged with tampering with a vehicle.
