Police: Shots fired into same York home second time within a week

— Shots were fired into a York home early Monday — the second time unknown suspects allegedly targeted the same house with gunfire, police said.

Sometime after 4 a.m., police were sent to a home on Dolly Street, off East Liberty Street near the York Shopping Center, after residents reported hearing shots fired, York Police Chief Andy Robinson said.

One of the residents reported that they heard gunshots fired in the direction of their house, authorities said. Police saw a bullet hole through the passenger side rear door and window of a car parked in the yard. A window had also been shot, and the bullet flew into the kitchen, lodging into a wall.

Robinson said this is the second time shots had been fired at that same Dolly Street home. The first incident was last Wednesday, but police could find no actual damage.
