York students fill empty bowls

February 25, 2014

— Students in the York Comprehensive High School art department, student council, culinary arts program and members of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, or FCCLA, teamed up Monday to present their annual Empty Bowls fundraiser.

The art students made bowls, which were sold for $10 each. The culinary arts students prepared a meal of soup and cornbread. Desserts were sold separately. The event was hosted in the dining room of the Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center.
