Two CHS wrestlers quality for state event

— Two Clover High School wrestlers who qualified for the S.C. Wrestling State Championships this weekend at the Anderson Civic Center.

Seven Clover wrestlers compete at Laurens High School on Feb. 22 at the Upper State Championships.

The two who qualified for state are junior Zach Conrad, in the 220-pound weight class. He will make his second consecutive appearance at state compeition after losing on one match at Upper State Championships this weekend. He finished in third place.

Sophomore Jharee Kerns will make his first appearance at state in the 132-pound weight class after he finished fourth at the Upper State tournament.

The boys are coached by teacher Michael Fitzgerald.
