— Anderson Marie Moore, 9, of Clover was recently crowned Miss South Carolina USA Ambassador Junior Preteen.

The Larne Elementary School fourth-grader also received the overall talent award for her rendition of “First Time in Forever” from “Frozen.”

Anderson competed in interview, on stage question, runway modeling, fit ‘n’ fabulous and evening gown competitions at the pageant last month in Greenville.

She plans to travel to Tampa, Fla., in July to compete in the national USA Ambassador Pageant, a charity-driven organization that promotes success through leadership, integrity, character and confidence.

The USA Ambassador Pageant, open to girls ages 4 to 25, promotes each contestant’s individual strength and encourages all contestants and their families to be involved in their communities.

Anderson is a member of the Larne Soaring Singers at Larne Elementary. She is the daughter of Ed and Marianne Hall Moore of Clover and the granddaughter of James F. and Mary Jo Hall of Clover.
