Police: York man choked, hit woman

April 15, 2014

— Police are looking for a York man accused of punching and choking a pregnant woman, according to a York Police report.

Around 10:30 p.m. April 13, police responded to a 911 call from a home on Marvin Circle. The call included the sound of a crying child in the background, but no one spoke into the phone.

When they arrived, police found a pregnant 21-year-old woman and her three young children at the home. They learned the father of the children, a 22-year-old male, had fled when he realized police had been called.

The report states the woman and the suspect were arguing when he pushed her onto a couch, put his hands around her neck and punched her in the stomach.

The woman declined medical treatment. Police applied for arrest warrants for the suspect.
