McConnells church plans concert

First Baptist Church, Chester Highway, McConnells, will host a concert by Heart to Heart at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 27.

The concert will be followed by a covered-dish meal.

Weeping Mary to observe Pink Sunday

Weeping Mary Baptist Church, U.S. 321 North, Bowling Green, will observe Pink Sunday on April 27 to recognize all breast cancer survivors. Wear pink.

Clover church to hold VBS

New Life Baptist Church, 305 N. Main St., Clover, will hold vacation Bible school from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14 for grades pre-k through sixth.

Lunch will be provided for children. A family cookout with games follows at 4 p.m. Call 803-222-9990.

Affirmation of York County to meet

Affirmation of York County is a new support group for people of all faith communities who seek support and understanding in working through the issues confronted by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and friends.

Meetings are 7-8:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2955 S.C. 160, Fort Mill. The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 13.

New Beginnings seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for God’s Kitchen, a ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church that delivers meals to at least 120 shut-ins each day.

Volunteers also are being sought for the Lighthouse Thrift Store, which helps provide housing for the homeless. Volunteers will help with daily operations including delivery, pickup and sorting donations.

Community Cafe serving lunch

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly. The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Donations are accepted. Details: 330-289-1243.
