Clover Women’s Club awards 3 scholarships

— The 2014 Clover Woman’s Club scholarships were presented in honor of Mrs. Neel Cyphers for her years of dedicated and faithful service as club treasurer.

Three $1,500 scholarships were awarded to Clover High School graduates on May 29 during a ceremony at the school.

The three recipients are Courtney Conger, daughter of Randy and Melanie Conger, who will will attend Clemson University; Rachael Reed, daughter of Duke and Jill Reed, who will attend the College of Charleston; and Madalyn Thomas, the daughter of William and Christa Bolin, who will attend USC Aiken.

The scholarships were funded by proceeds from the Clover Woman’s Club annual tour of homes, a fall yard sale and the annual spring card party.

Additionally, each year the faculty of Clover High School selects a recipient for the title of Clover Woman’s Club Outstanding Young Woman. This year’s winner was Courtney Conger.
