Yard sale, block party June 7

The Bridge Community Church, 3168 Hands Mill Highway, will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 7.

A block party serving hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, games and a bounce house will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All yard sale proceeds go to the building program.

Ramah, Beersheba plan Bible school

Ramah Presbyterian Church, 980 Ramah Church Road, York, will be hosting Vacation Bible school with Beersheba Presbyterian Church from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 8 to 13.

The theme will be “Workshop of Wonders-Imagine and Build with God.” Children ages 3 and older are encouraged to attend.

A light meal will be served each evening at 6 p.m.

Beth Shiloah plans Bible school

A Bible school for all ages, All Things New, will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 8 to 12 at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 1184 N. Shiloh Road, York.

The event is for preschool children through adults. Dinner will be provided. For details, call 803-684-4046.

Free concert June 8 at Living Waters

The Edge of Grace Band will give a free outdoor concert at 5 p.m. June 8 at Living Waters Church, 612 Bethel School Road.

The church will be offering hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Bring a chair.

Kings Mountain UMC plans yard sale

A large yard sale will be 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church, S.C. 161, York.

Vendors are welcome. The cost is $5 for a 12-by-12-foot lot. A bake sale will be in the church social hall.

Breakfast, including sausage biscuits and coffee, and a lunch of hot dogs and drinks will be sold. Proceeds to go mission projects.

Set-up will begin at 6:30 a.m. June 7. For more information, call 803-684-2493.

Fishing Creek Baptist plans Bible school

Fishing Creek Baptist Church, Springlake Road, York, will host vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m. June 9-12.

The theme will be “The Jesus Connection – What a Friend.”

Take trip to Holy Land

Charles and Barbara Ford of Lake Wylie will host a trip to the Holy Land Nov. 5-15.

The Fords have lived in and visited Israel many times and have insight into the history, religion and modern day culture of this region, the birthplace of Christianity.

A series of pre-departure study sessions is being planned.

Clover church to hold VBS

New Life Baptist Church, 305 N. Main St., Clover, will hold vacation Bible school 10 a.m.-4 p.m. June 14 for pre-K through sixth grade.

Support group to meet

Affirmation of York County is a new support group for people of all faith communities who seek support and understanding in working through the issues confronted by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and friends.
