Praise Party Saturday in Clover

The Will of God Ministries, 205 Hampshire Lane, presents Praise Party In The Park on Saturday, June 28, at Roosevelt Park.

There will be free food, music and fellowship. The church is planning a series of these free events at local parks in Lake Wylie, York, Rock Hill and Gastonia, N.C.

Gold Hill Baptist plans youth event

Gold Hill Baptist Church, S.C. 49, York, will host Youth Explosion 2014, “Do it for the VINE,” at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29. Area youth groups are invited.

Weeping Mary to welcome twins

Weeping Mary Baptist Church, U.S. 321 North, Clover, will host the YWA and Missionaries observing Twins Day at 3 p.m. June 29. All twins are invited to worship.

Preschool to hold summer camp

Allison Creek Preschool, 5780 Allison Creek Road, will host its annual summer camp for children ages 18 months through completed third grade from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. July 14-18.

Clover First UMC plans Bible school

Clover’s First United Methodist Church on Bethel Street will host a vacation Bible school, “Weird Animals,” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 6-10.

First Baptist plans mission outreach

First Baptist Church on South Congress Street in York is planning a Sept. 13 mission outreach called Operation In As Much.

Take a trip to Israel

Charles and Barbara Ford of Lake Wylie will host a trip to Israel on Nov. 5-15.

The Fords have lived in and visited Israel many times and have insight into the history, religion and modern day culture of this region, the birthplace of Christianity.

A series of predeparture study sessions are being planned.

Support group to meet

Affirmation of York County is a new support group for people of all faiths who seek support and understanding in working through the issues confronted by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and friends.
