Harris, Vet marry

Jessica Wade Harris of Asheboro, N.C., and Ryan Christopher Vet of Cary, N.C., were married Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Central United Methodist Church, Asheboro. Officiating was Dr. Gary Vet, father of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. Kelly Harris of Asheboro. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn Edmunds of Clover and the late John W. Edmunds and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Harris.

She is a 2010 graduate of Asheboro High School, and a 2014 graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. Jessica will be attending UNC School of Dentistry this fall.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gary C. Vet of Cary. He is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Donald Trott II of Dillsburg, Pa., and Vivian Vet of Bonita Springs, Fla., and the late Teunis Vet.

He is a 2009 graduate of Panther Creek High School, Cary, and a 2013 graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He is a business and marketing consultant, CEO of a marketing firm and CEO of uCondition, a software company.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Ballard, Harrisburg, N.C.; Noelle Casimo, Charlotte; Kacy Nichols, Gastonia, N.C.; Kaitlyn Palumbo, Ashburn, Va.; Nicole Panaggio, Jacksonville, N.C.; and Jillian Somero, Trinity, N.C.

Guest registrar was Katie Le, Pittsbugh. Wedding directors were Emily Matkins and Rachel Hargett of Asheboro. Ushers were Travis Cawthorne, Hudson, Ohio; Greg Marchuck, St. Charles, Ill.; and Parker Tobin, Tampa, Fla. Musicians included Natalie Dupius, Atlanta; Alex Strelow, Graham, N.C.; and Chris Carpenter, Cary.

Scripture readers were Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Strelow of Graham, friends of the couple.

Tyler Vet brother of the groom, of Cary, served as best man. Groomsmen included Andrew Hopun, Charlottesville, Va.; Garrett Witek, Geneva, Ill.; Grant Woody, Apex, N.C.; Jackson Fambrough, Holly Springs, N.C.; and Wade Harris brother of the bride, Asheboro.

The reception was held at the Cetwick Event Center, hosted by the bride’s parents, Kelly and Leigh Harris, and catered by Pinewood Country Club.

The couple will reside in Durham, N.C.
