Homecoming

Bethany ARP Church, 1454 N. Hwy. 161, Clover, will hold Homecoming on July 13. Morning worship will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a covered dish luncheon at 12:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Mission trip

On June 22, 16 youth at First Baptist Church in York were commissioned to attend a World Changers Project in Savannah, Ga., from June 28 to July 5. These young people will be branching out in ministries of service and love, providing physical labor on homes by painting and roofing, and various other leaps of faith.

Evangelistic event

A special evangelistic event for residents and neighbors in and around the Oakridge Community in Lake Wylie will be from 4 to 8 p.m. July 12 in an open field along Oakridge Road, Lake Wylie. The event is coordinated by the Rev. Wanalyn Barnette, an associate minister of Liberty Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, Lake Wylie. The theme is REACH -- Receive all into the family of God; Educate unbelievers in the way of the Lord, Always show love and compassion; Christ-like attitudes everywhere we go; and Help those in need. The event is free and will include free food, games, give-a-ways and crafts. Contributing sponsors are Carolina Panther Thomas Davis and Piedmont Medical Center.
