Benefit singing
Midway Baptist Church will hold a benefit singing at 7 p.m. Saturday to raise money for Timothy Rhinehart's medical bills.
Rhinehart, 24, had a wreck on March 28 and was airlifted to CMC, where they removed his lower right leg. He has no insurance.
Living Truth and Faithful Friends will provide music.
The church is two miles past McGills General Store on S.C. 55 West in Clover.

50s plus group
Bowling Green Presbyterian Church, 250 Ridge Road, will hold its 50s plus community group meeting at noon Aug. 6. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month for fellowship, covered dish luncheon and a program. The Rev. Bob Moss, retired from Presbytery of Rock Hill, will be guest speaker. Bethany ARP Church, 1454 N. Hwy. 161 in Clover, will hold a "Sonworld Adventure Park" Vacation Bible School from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m. Aug. 3 to 7, with an Aug. 2 kickoff from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Each night, participants ages 2 through adult will have a Bible lesson along with games, crafts and music for the children. Pine Grove Baptist Church, 5415 Hwy. 557, Lake Wylie, welcomes children to join a trail ride through the desert Southwest with Cactus Canyon vacation Bible school from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Aug. 10-13. Pardners will ride the trails of adventure-filled Bible stories, create cool Western crafts, enjoy refreshing snacks and gallop through recreation activities. CBS coffee
Community Bible Study will have an orientation coffee for prospective members at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 6 at the River Hills Community Church on S.C. 49 in Lake Wylie.
CBS is an interdenominational Bible Study with leadership coming from our local area. It is an opportunity for women of all ages to be nurtured, encouraged and challenged in God's Word. It is open to all women, of all faiths, and of all knowledge levels.
This year the group will be studying the Gospel of Mark and Paul's Letter to the Ephesians.
A children's ministry program is available for 5-6 years and 2-4 years and child care is provided for children under 2 years.

A Back to School Prayer Service will be held at the Clover ARP Church at 127 Kings Mountain St., Clover, at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.

Marriage seminar
Filbert Presbyterian Church, 2066 Filbert Hwy., York, will host the Paul Tripp seminar "Marriage: There Really is a Better Way" from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 4.
Lunch and nursery are provided.
Registration cost for the conference is $30 per person or $60 per couple from Aug. 1 through Sept. 4. Scholarships are available.

Preschool openings
First Baptist Preschool of York has limited openings for 4 year olds. The program offers two options for 4 year olds: a three day a week class and a five day a week class. Classes meet from 9 a.m. until noon. Tuition is $85 a month for three days a week and $120 a month for five days a week. For more information, contact Laura Nettles at 684-4297.
Preschool program
First United Methodist Church Preschool is enrolling children who will be 3 or 4 before Sep.1 for the 2008-2009 school term.
There are a few four day spots remaining. These spots are from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. The program focuses on the kindergarten readiness skills for the Clover School District. They also offer music, art and Spanish and the Christian curriculum Godly Play.
The church is also enrolling for its August Summer Camp program.

Pine Grove Baptist Church, of Lake Wylie, is holding a divorce care class meets on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. Childcare will be provided.
