Yard sale

York First Wesleyan Church will hold a yard sale in their Family Life Center from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday. Sausage biscuits and coffee will also be sold.

The church is at 1830 York Hwy., York.

Men's breakfast, women's Bible study

Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lake Wylie will hold a men's breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. All men and boys are invited to this free event.

Also, women are invited to attend Beth Moore's Bible study, "Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruits of the Spirit." This is an 11-week study that begins Tuesday. The group meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each Tuesday. Register by calling the church office at 831-2015 or e-mailing pgbapt@bellsouth.net.

Homecoming

Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church's former pastor Dr. Eddie Usher will be guest speaker for Homecoming on Sept. 14. A covered dish luncheon will follow the 11 a.m. service. All are welcome.

Seeking photos

Trinity United Methodist Church in York is looking for wedding photos of all couples married in the church between 1826 and 2008. The church is compiling a scrapbook for its homecoming in April.

Send a copy of the photo with the names and wedding date to Diane Wine, P.O. Box 565, York, SC, 29745. These will not be returned but stored in the church's archives.

Marriage seminar

Filbert Presbyterian Church, 2066 Filbert Hwy., York, will host the Paul Tripp seminar "Marriage: There Really is a Better Way" from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 4. Lunch and nursery are provided. Registration cost for the conference is $30 per person or $60 per couple through Sept. 4. Scholarships are available.

Parent's Night

Divorce Care

Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lake Wylie is holding a divorce care class meets on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. Childcare will be provided. To register call the church office at 831-2015 or e-mail: pgbapt@bellsouth.net. The church is also offering a Henry Blackaby study of "Experiencing God", on Sundays at 4:45 p.m. Everyone invited.
